A marquetry necklace made in collaboration with Hoshoji Yaki Shokagama. I made it by reusing things that can’t be sold when it’s out of the kiln. From the desire to cherish wood, we used wood from dismantled houses and offcuts from construction sites, and created a geometric pattern that takes advantage of the texture of wood. Finished with 100% natural wax blended with beeswax and plant-derived oils. About maintenance If the luster is lost or scratches become noticeable, apply vegetable oil such as olive oil or camellia oil, then wipe with a dry cloth to restore the luster. We use materials available at hand, such as cherry, chestnut, cypress, beech, oak, cedar, mizume, and ebony. Metal fittings 14k gold filled *There are variations in color and material type depending on the work. *The photo is an image only. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
